 Yoga Classs

We teach a Vinyasa Style Yoga class on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm for members and non members. Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.

Many a time I’ve heard this tale: “I tried yoga and it was too slow for me. I need something fast paced.” If this is your story, you are needlessly missing out on the wonders of yoga, because there is yoga out there so fast it will make your head spin and soak your neighbors with the sweat coming off your brow. For starters, meet Vinyasa Yoga.

Yoga class – Vinyasa style is available now on Monday night at 6:00 p.m. This class is available for members (free) and nonmembers ($5 charge) alike. And the class can benifit both beginners and experienced yoga students. Vinayasa yoga poses creates internal heat that purifies muscles and organs by expelling unwanted toxins from the body in the form of sweat. Increased body heat also stimulates blood flow to various body parts, carring with it essential nutrients and oxygen. This great class is taught by Marina Gorilova, who has taught Yoga for many years.

 

Boot Camp

We offer a boot camp to fit your needs, either in a group setting or individually trained. This is the next best thing to hiring a personal trainer! What ever your goals are and with your busy schedule in mind. A great way to work off lots of calories quickly… and in an efficient way. It’s a fun challenge with each exercise being different so you don’t get bored. Easy to fit into your busy schedule, by make custom arrangements with the instructor. And custom made for you, as easy or as hard as you would like it… bring it on!

Taught 3 times per week, Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays it that works for you. Cost is $225 for 12 classes (1 hour each) for members, or $240 for non members.

Belly Dance

Belly dance is one of the best routines you can learn for working out your core and increasing muscle coordination. This is a basic Belly Dance class, no experience required.

Belly dance is a great effective workout that burns fat, boosts metabolism, tones and sculpts your body, improves body image, flexibility, increases stamina, and mentally improves focus and coordination, as you learn to isolate each body part.

Each class will begin with a warm-up, moving to basic footwork, hip work, shimmies, turns and traveling steps and control and isolations.

Tone and sculpt your stomach and hips while you learn the basic belly dance moves like a professional. Taught in conjunction with the “Zumba” class at 6:00 pm on Wednesday evenings, 30 minutes. Call for more information. No charge for first class! Subsequent classes $6 (includes both Zumba and Bellydance). These classes are taught by Aksana Danilava. Starting February 1st, 2012.

Zumba

ZUMBA” is a really fun Latin-inspired dance routine fitness class you have all heard about.

Please, wear comfortable active clothing that is not restrictive and allows appropriate cooling. Wear an aerobic shoe or court shoe or jazz sneakers. Please, make sure it’s not a street shoe. Have some water and a towel with you. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students. It is easy to follow, quick and easy to learn, feel- it- to- the-core, like you have never felt before… Dance fitness party.
